The Aerosol-Climate research group in the Department of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of California - Merced (UC Merced) seeks 1 Ph.D. students to begin in the Spring or Fall of 2025. Successful candidates will work on research involving the impacts of dust on clouds and precipitation. This 5-year PhD position will be fully funded through a combination of research and teaching assistantships to the students, which will include tuition waivers and benefits. Applicants with a background in atmospheric science, ocean science, geology, physics, or other related fields are welcome to apply. Applicants with previous programming knowledge using either Fortran, NCL, Matlab, Python, or others are particularly encouraged to apply. Please note that the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Score is not required to apply for the ES graduate program at UC Merced.
